COVID-19 Update
In the last few weeks the world has changed drastically. Coronavirus means that our plans and priorities for Chalcots Community Action have changed. Our Chief Executive at The Winch, Rashid Iqbal, has released a statement here on how our organisation is responding to the crisis. This means that our plans and priorities for Chalcots Community Action and Hilgrove Community Action have had to adapt and change.
What does this mean for Chalcots Community Action?
For the moment, we are putting on hold the development of project from the Chalcots Community Hack and focusing on our immediate response to our communities. We are working with our Community Organisers to create new, online spaces for people to connect using Zoom and other platforms. We are also looking at how we can support older and vulnerable residents through regular telephone conversations and practical support, such as collecting prescriptions and picking up shopping. Please contact us if you know someone living on the Chalcots who would benefit from this. You can find us at 07467 529877, and esther@northcamdenzone.org.
What does this mean for Hilgrove Community Action?
We are keeping our recruitment for Hilgrove Community Organisers open. All interviews will take place online. Any Hilgrove resident interested in becoming a Community Organiser should visit this page. We are also asking Hilgrove residents to complete an online survey to share their views on life on the Hilgrove Estate, so we can build a picture of what is important to the community – take the survey here.
How can we contact North Camden Zone?
Most of our team is working from home. Please call us on 07467 529877, or email esther@northcamdenzone.org.
